Eleanor Lyons

Training Expert

A teacher at heart, Eleanor lives for the “light bulb” moment. That is, the moment when a person decides that what they are learning is useful and will help them meet their goals.

As an expert in corporate training (she has a Master’s degree in Training & Organizational Development from St. Joseph’s University), Eleanor uses adult learning principles to design programs that engage people in the learning process and get them invested in the outcome. In fact, she is in the business of creating outcomes. All of the training programs she develops start from the idea that employees who participate in the training will actually do something differently once they get a chance.

Previously, Eleanor worked at GE. There, she managed and facilitated the core set of training programs for both employees and managers. She has since brought her approach to various industries, with a special strength in pharmaceuticals.

Eleanor earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Temple University in Philadelphia. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, and the NJ OD Community. She is on the Mentoring Committee and has been a speaker for Fox School of Business Alumni.

Eleanor is married with two school-aged kids. Just to prove that it’s never too late to try something new, she recently started singing in a women’s choir.
