When Kim was in college, a pharmaceutical company came to campus to talk about career opportunities. Kim remembers the excitement she felt when they showed the undergrads what—at the time—was a new way of cross-marketing: placing a coupon for cough syrup on another company’s tissue box.
Of course, innovation looks much different today. But the idea of coming up with new ways to market products that truly made a difference hooked Kim immediately. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Finance and an M.B.A. in Marketing, both from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. As a proven pharmaceutical marketer and customer insights expert, Kim brings a very disciplined and pragmatic approach. She helps companies understand what their customers need and how they think—and then helps them figure out how to use that knowledge to drive business and get results.
Before consulting with inKlein, Kim held a number of executive marketing and customer insights positions at Merck, including U.S. Marketing Leader (Executive Director) Atherosclerosis and Senior Director, Global Customer Insights. She gets immense satisfaction from marketing products that change people’s lives for the better. In addition to work in the vaccine market, Kim also has experience with Primary Care, Specialty Products, and Bio-similars.
Kim lives in the Philadelphia area, where she loves attending her high school son’s tennis matches and following the drama of her daughter, a theater major at Northwestern University.
